  • ANON AGENCY was founded by two ex-journalists. We started on newspapers and national magazine titles. We reported on news spanning national heroes, to sports scandals. We captured features, reportage and interviewed real people. We wrote society pieces, world reports, rounded-up the zeitgeist, profiled celebrities and unearthed astonishing case studies. We have chased deadlines, attracted new readers and uncovered new angles.

    We’ve always been driven by the story.

  • We later directed our journalism training into communications and PR. We’ve worked for media brands and news outlets. We’ve communicated for national government, higher education, charity and the arts. We’ve done press and spin. We’ve controlled the narrative. We’ve handled crises, straddled reputational threats and re-branded risk. We’ve brokered national media partnerships, leveraged brand profiles and re-imagined strategic collaborations. We’ve devised strategies that profile, reach and engage new audiences.

    We have understood how to define and measure brand success.

  • Throughout it all we’ve worked with the most radical, provocative and creative global graduate talent. For the last decade we’ve written creative briefs, sourced graduate talent and merged the established brand with the emerging talent. We’ve defined new voices.

    We’ve activated collisions of creative disciplines to produce innovative approaches that breathe new life into brands.

  • In 2024, ANON launched a new Crisis Comms branch of the agency headed up by Co-Founder - and former Director of Communications & newspaper Deputy Editor - Pete Austin.

    Drawing on more than 15 years' experience of front-line, high pressure crisis communications, including managing press for Presidential engagements (US President Trump State Visit to the UK, 2019), Royal visits (Duchess of Cambridge, 2021) and Secretaries of State (Secretary of State for Education Michael Gove, 2013), Pete leads a small team who are expert in helping organisations navigate reputational challenges with confidence.
